As a child, Naz Meknat learned how to take cover from bullets, where to take shelter from bombs and rockets, and how to navigate her world through daily fights and physical abuse.
Trying to stay alive in the hands of an abusive man she married became a daily battle. When she realized she could not protect herself and feared for her life, she fled her country overnight, hoping to find safety and freedom only to face many more challenges.
Today, Naz Meknat is an LA-based Hollywood stylist. She has been working in the fashion industry since 2005 with a degree in Fashion from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in LA. She has worked with celebrities such as Sterling K Brown, Brian Tyree Henry, Nyambi Nyambi, Camilla Luddington, Jeannie Mai, and Tara Reid to name a few.
She is an advocate for women's rights and works tirelessly to bring more awareness to sexual and domestic violence against women. She actively volunteers in her community serving as a member of non-profit organizations such as Women Helping Women, Live Your Dream, Greater West Hollywood Food Coalition, and Out of the Closet.
Naz's story is one of perseverance, resilience, and strength.
