As an infant, a baby cannot recognize what is good or bad. An infant can only feel through emotions. As adults, our emotions can transfer through energy to our infants or children. It’s vitally important that we change how we operate around our youth. If you ever took some time and thought to yourself “I’m exactly like my mom or dad”. That is most likely dealing with generational trauma. Trauma can be passed down from family member to family member.  Now, the passing down of generational trauma does not only apply from your dad or your mom. It can also come from an uncle, aunt, grandparent, or great grandparent. Three types of trauma we based our conversation on:Acute Trauma: This results from a single stressful or dangerous event.Chronic Trauma: This results from repeated and prolonged exposure to highly stressful events.Examples: includes cases of child abuse, bullying, or domestic violenceComplex Trauma: This results from exposure to multiple traumatic events. Small solutions:Seek counselingIf counseling doesn’t work, educate your self on the basis of trauma.Educate yourself on the type of trauma you have.Start to research what other solutions work for others. Want to support your Afterdarktalk family?
