in a perfect world, all taxation would carefully avoid disturbing the free marketplace. However, in our imperfect world, taxation seems to have a lot more to do with politics than sound economics.
Apparently tariffs are a form of taxation, and maybe even a little worse than our wild income tax. Let’s hope Elon Musk and Vivac Ramaswami can help our country approach flat income taxes and minimal corruption.
