Our first guest of the year was James Glendinning and he was the PERFECT start to a fantastic season! James is a beverage marketing representative in the DMV area that Jamie met and invited to the show! First, we had to talk about what that actually means and how he began his career in the industry. We also discussed how he launches different brands, what goes into the evaluation process and How many of our favorites brands started (hint it involves women or money or both).
He represents many, and we mean MANY of the smaller alcohol brands and was able to share a few that are actually in the DMV area. We had so much fun discussing different wines, liqueurs, whiskeys, and our personal favorite Cognac! The ‘Wine Guy’ James gave us so many fun facts and little known stories like what a “Death in the Afternoon” cocktail is and how it got its name. One word: WILD!
