Description

In the US, comics appeared in 1892, the word itself meant "something funny" and depicted subjects were appropriate. Richard F. Outcault, who worked as the draftsman for the newspaper "Electric World", released a series called "Hogan's Alley" with a yellow kid as one of the characters. The people of New York quickly fell in love with him and the newspaper became a weekly. The phrase “yellow press” came from the large number of comics about the yellow kid.Photo Hulk odiar Sarrooooo Hulk hate Tartaaaaar (2540708438).jpg by Magnus Manske is licensed under CC BY 2.0.
