This episode of Motivation Zone is to encourage you to evaluate your feelings and know that they do matter. There can be times when you get around people who will try to convince you that how you feel does not matter because it's small and there are worse situations and things to be concerned about. In this episode I discuss how small concerns (that go unnoticed and unchecked) can lead to bigger issues.
Motivation Exercise:
If you find that you have a concern that you'd like to address, make sure you're able to do so in a safe space. It's recommended if necessary, to have a witness or to do so with a professional who can mediate between you and the party you're expressing yourself to.
Understand and know that sometimes, someone downplaying how you feel can be a form of manipulation and abuse. If you find that you are not feeling free or safe to express how you feel around certain individuals it may be best to limit your exposure to them. Pray for them, bless them and move forward.
