The first season of '1 Year In Wrestling' comes to an end!
The final PPV of 1996 is the Grand-daddy of the WCW PPVs, their Superbowl - 'Starrcade'.
This was most likely the strongest WCW show of the year, too.
Very nWo driven, great crowd (just shy of 10k people - Nashville) .. great tag match between Nash & Hall v The Faces of Fear (with a HUGE pop for Nash Jacknifing Barbarian) ..2 killer promos by Piper and Hogan leading into their awkward main event...DDP and Eddy face off one more time...Malenko v Ultimate Dragon as the opener, Mysterio v Liger 2 matches later...Jeff Jarrett v Benoit in a 4 Horsemen in-fighting match...and a surprisingly good match between Luger and Giant!
Great moments at the end of the PPV to set up Giant turning on the nWo, as well as planting the seeds for DDP turning face in early 97!
