C-Jah Amen Mobley grew up in Roxbury, Ma.. He began to study percussion at an early age at The Elma Lewis School of Fine Arts with Babatunde Olatunji. He also began his training in martial arts at an early age. He has travelled all over the country as a musician and teacher. C-Jah Amen has graced the stage as a musician in many genres of music. He has been the musical director and member of many prominent dance and music companies, He has made cameo appearances in manywell known movies such as Amistad.
