March 31st, 1995, Yolanda saldivar who was the president of Selena's fan club and her close friend shot and murdered Selena in cold blood. Selena had met with Yolanda at a Days Inn in Corpus Christi, Texas to discuss allegations that Yolanda was embezzling money from the fan club as well as Selena's boutiques which Yolanda also managed. Things got heated and that's when tragedy struck.
