What's true for you is true for you, especially if you've spent most of the last year sitting in a room alone before a glowing screen, trying to put an altruistic spin on exploiting the global pandemic to get all your writing done. It takes a mixture of trust, object permanence, and, frankly, intellectual laxity to participate agreeably in modern society without feeling the need to run away screaming into the wilderness or the arms of some two bit Svengali.
