Shame - or more accurately - our tolerance for shame is akin to the growth of our courage and resilience. The more we allow into our lives the easier it is to create more room for it to live and grow. We need to foster those things we want more of - courage, resilience, and the like; and then minimize those moments of shame by choosing better actions and at the same time super highlight those shameful moments and feelings when they do occur so that way we're encouraging improvement and not perpetual shameful actions.
