John Kraft is retracting the Lewis and Clark Expedition of 1804-1806. In 90+ days he has walked/ pulled a homemade rickshaw from St. Louis, Missouri to central North Dakota. He plans to walk the length of the Missouri River to its headwaters in Montana before switching to a canoe, paddling to the Pacific Ocean, and finally turning around and canoeing down the entire length of Americas longest river, the Missouri.
We talk pulling a rickshaw across the rural Midwest, the kindness of strangers, benefits of traveling slow, beauty of the rolling prairie, Lewis & Clark Expedition, Buffalo, Pheasant, Grouse, and the joys and freedom of big trips.
