@SABEST_Party upper house candidate Keyvan Abak is not your regular 9-5 political candidate. Abak is a refugee who hails from a persecuted minority and was held in detention in Australia after fleeing his birthplace during the Howard Prime Ministership. During this time, Abak taught himself English by reading children's books and dictionaries as a child and this was how he first honed his leadership skills.
Prior to running in politics, Abak has thrived in a career as an allied health worker, having provided support services to regional Australians for a long period of time before deciding that his time had come to make a difference at a political level.
