SURPRISE! This Special Edition is coming out on a non-normal day, and it's because if we waited, the material might not be fresh! The situation is very fluid, and the guys wanted to talk to someone who knew something about the new piece of legislation, in Congress, that would change the very fabric of NCAA athletics! Known as the NCAA Athlete Bill of Rights, this piece of legislation, on the very surface looks like it's out to only help the athlete, BUT the guys think there's more to it, so what did they do? THEY BROUGHT DALTON SHETLER ON TO EXPLAIN IT FURTHER. Dalton goes in DEEP to talk about what this legislation could really mean to NCAA athletics COMPLETELY, and not just to the sports named in the bill! Sam asks about transfers and Title IV, and Dalton nails his explanation down, and the guys felt very comfortable with what they heard. Richey asked about whether the NCAA needed a lot of the things, in the legislation, spelled out so vaguely that it confuses people, and, again, Dalton is PERFECTLY PROFESSIONAL!
The talk THEN led to the B1G Conference waiving its minimum game rule in order to play in the Championship Game, seemingly for Ohio St, and Sam explains his thoughts and why he feels the way he does! Dalton then takes it to the College Football Playoff, and the guys talk about the various ways that the NCAA seems to fall short in some areas, and they end the show finally, after 4 attempts! They seemed to always bring SOMETHING ELSE up they wanted to expand upon! The talk was expected to be 20 minutes, it turned out to be OVER AN HOUR! What an excellent chat with Dalton! The guys want to have him back on in the near future to talk about this again, after it's had time to work its way out even further! SO, sit back & #grabalisten of this Special Edition: NCAA Athlete Bill of Rights Chat with Dalton Shetler!
