Original Broadcast Date: 4/27/2013 From the Food and Travel Nation Interview Archives: Elizabeth spoke with Dr. Jonathan Lundgren, who at the time, served as the Research Entomologist at the National Central Agricultural Research Facility in Brookings, South Dakota for the USDA. Elizabeth and Dr. Lundgren had a very frank discussion about the status of GMOs currently, possible effects on the dwindling bee pollinator population, the original idea behind GMOs and the shortcomings and current concerns among scientists.
UPDATE: After an eleven year career with the USDA, Dr. Lungren founded Ecdysis Foundation & Blue Dasher Farm as a research foundation as well as training ground for future scientists and farmers.
