Our guest on the Sales Code Leadership Podcast this week is Claire Thomas
Claire has worked in technology sales for 15 years. She never planned on being a saleswoman, but is glad she fell into a career path and industry that have provided huge opportunity to learn and the chance to meet so many diverse people and businesses.
After university, Claire spent 5 years at Microsoft, starting on their Microsoft Academy for College Hires before doing a range of account management roles. She then joined Hitachi Consulting, moving from software to services sales, and has been with Hitachi for 10 years in individual sales and sales leadership. She is actively involved in challenging negative stereotypes around sales and encouraging more females to join both sales and technology careers. Despite 15 years working with technology, she has never written a line of code. Claire has recently been highly commended in the Women in Tech Excellence Awards 2021 and previously won the Women in Sales Awards Europe.
Claire lives with her husband and two young sons in London. Her happiest times are sat around a table chatting with friends and family over a good meal and bottle of wine or travelling to new places to explore new cultures.
