Sara describes the characters in the song, “She is hardened, possibly from being broken in previous relationships and she is prone to self-sabotage. He thinks she is falling for him, when in fact she’s just dispirited and lonely. The song is a warning to him, ‘don’t fall for me as this won’t last’”.
