Brad Qualls shares his experience as an African-American highway patrol officer. As a result of the positive experiences he had with police officers as a child, he decided to pursue a career in law enforcement. The officers lived in his community and served as role models, coaches and mentors. When he became an officer, he did the same for the youth in his community.
