Although their educational opportunities were limited, Christine Lovely’s parents valued education. They encouraged Christine and her sib-lings to pursue learning opportunities in order to better themselves and the community in which they lived. Christine initially majored in Communications but changed her fo-cus after being stopped by a police officer which turned out to be an unwarranted stop. That incident prompted her to enroll in law school with an intent to help others who had similar experiences. While in law school she found employment law more gratify-ing. After years serving as a lawyer, she was asked to serve as the interim Director of Human Resources. The President saw something in her that convinced him to keep her in the role permanently. Christine was always prepared for what was before her, yet able to adapt when necessary. She has a story worth listening to.
