Starting from humble beginnings, Herman Blackmon became a marketing executive in the tech industry. Asa result of his work with youth he was encouraged to run for political offices culminating in being elected mayor in Hercules, California. After learning from others, he established a construction management business. He credits his love of learning for his success in multiple career endeavors. With knowledge, experience and a willingness to take risks he succeeded beyond what his limited opportunities in rural Texas would have predicted.
