Description

On this week's episode Kirstin gives us an update on her training  with four weeks to go to the Coeur D'Alene Ironman.  She tells us about her swim in 53 degree water and how her brain was trying to keep her safe, but also keep her from getting in the water.  And she also dives into a bit of sports psychology. If you've ever showed up to a race and noticed that your brain is just hyperactive saying things like, "I'm not prepared for this, my coach is going to drop me because there's no way I can do this or perform well, I look ridiculous in this outfit," etc. and your brain is just emotionally controlling you, this episode is for you. The first step is recognizing it is happening. And then it's having the tools to work yourself out of it - or even better, exhaust it before the race. Want to learn how? Take a listen right here.
