Alvin and German conduct a great conversation with a Co-Founder of Principles Marketing, Garfield O. Smith, '85. Principles Marketing, is a consultancy providing Business-to-Business and Business-to-Consumer marketing strategy to financial services. After graduating from Colgate University, he received an M.B.A. from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He co-founded the Partnership for Racial Progress, an alumni of color organization established to partner with the University president and senior leadership team to advance racial diversity, equity, and inclusion at Colgate. While at Colgate, he was the recipient of the Edward M. Stimets Memorial Award, George W. Cobb Fellowship, and the President's Award. He was elected to the Board of Trustees for Colgate a year after his graduation as a “Young Trustee”, for which he served a three-year term. He was recently elected to the Board of Directors for the Roessler-Chadwick Foundation Group and to a second term on the Board of Trustees for Colgate University.
