In January, 2018 the people living in Hawaii received a warning saying there was an inbound nuclear missile coming their way. What would you do? What could you do? The automatic system ran the message for twelve minutes. There was no way to retract it once it was out. It had been set up to just keep broadcasting once the button was pushed. How many times would you look at your phone before realizing this was for real? Would you believe it? Would you say this can’t be right?
For reasons of their own it took 38 minutes before anyone from the government in Hawaii could be found to come out and say there was no threat. It was a key stroke error. Someone pushed the wrong button. This was just one of many times when the end of the world was coming and there was nothing to do but pray. Good thing all these warnings never happened. Yet.
