Back in January, some of India’s top wrestlers including Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia, and Vinesh Phogat got together to protest against the Wrestling Federation of India and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, accusing him of sexually harassing several women wrestlers.
Shortly after this, the government formed an oversight committee to look into the allegations. But after barely three months, the wrestlers are back at the protest in New Delhi. In this episode, hosts Mihir Vasavda and Amit Kamath talk about the reasons behind this, and discuss the government inaction in the case.
