Better Black Health with Dr. Greg Hall welcomes Dorian Mahulawde (pronounced Ma-Ho-La-Weh-Deh) who is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Supervision Designation (LPCC-S) based in Cleveland, Ohio. His experiences in Jamaica and Cleveland have fueled his commitment to mental health advocacy. Dorian earned a degree in Sociology and Criminology from the University of Akron and initially worked as a career counselor and associate teacher-counselor before obtaining his master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University. After earning his degree, he sees clients in private practice, working with adolescents, adults, and couples. Dorian also operates a private therapy practice specializing in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Recognizing a significant lack of mental health awareness in the Black community, especially among men, Dorian has re-aligned his focus to our community. Dorian is a devoted husband and father and is a loyal member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
