We know it and hear all the time that change is an inevitable part of life. So why do we find it hard to embrace the need to change? Or why do we get intimidated when we see someone else change? You hear it in comments like, “you’ve changed” or “you act differently”! Perhaps we say phrases like this because we are uncomfortable with change. In a post from Psychology Today, the author shared that we are hardwired to resist uncertainty—our brain prefers a predictable, negative outcome over an uncertain one.
However, we still have our minds. Changing how we think can have a significant impact on our lives since our thoughts help shape reality. It’s time to THINK about change differently! Change is not the enemy. It’s what you need to become the best version of yourself.
Question of the week: How can I think of change differently?
Affirmation of the week: I am committed to all possibilities that lead to my greater purpose.
