Read James 3:1-18
Emotions; trauma; misconceptions; anger; bitterness; etc. are some of the issues leading many people today into destruction. Not mor so due to their actions, but, with what they say.
"Communication," cannot be avoided, even when one tries to run from it. You see, the Lord knows how to grab our attention with what we experience in life. Rather, one learns the lesson in that situation or not, God will present a "new," situation; allow things to happen until we "grasp," and "take heed," to what the Lord needs one to learn.
I, personally have met individuals who have shared different life events with me and the Lord revealed to me not only who they are in the situations; but, what He needs he/she to be healed and delivered from. Operating in discernment and wisdom, the Lord "at times," will instruct me to address the "root cause," head on.
And in some situations, He will send me down another route. All in all, "I deal with "each," individual differently based on where they are "currently." - Apostle Erica M. Glenn
We, as an society, have heard the saying, "hurt people, hurt people!!". This saying is so true, but, should NEVER be used as an excuse nor as a "defense maganism.". Every person on earth have things they have to work through. Unfortunately, due to individuals refusing to heal and do what is required to become healthy...he/she is speaking, teaching, and preaching with a venomous tongue.
Instead of others feeling encouraged; some ounce of peace after exiting that conversation; or from listening to that sermon they leave confused; vexed; puzzled; packing peace; and even to the point they feel attacked.
The Lord is big on conviction not condemnation. He is NOT an author of confusion nor does He desire for any of us to be used as boxing bags with what others say from a venomous place.
Be MINDFUL of when someone tends to force their "projections/opinions," on someone or in a situation that is solely based on their personal experience. It is easy for individuals to look through fogged up lens and refuse to allow the Lord to clean the lens for the vision He desires for one to have.
