His name is synonymous with the NFL. Hub Arkush remains the executive editor of Pro Football Weekly, now an online publication. But it was his father who founded the company in 1967 and Hub took it over at age 26. Since then, PFW as it’s known as, had blossomed into one of the nation’s leading sports publications though went through several iterations to become what it is today.

Arkush not only publishes the online version, he covers the Chicago Bears and is both an analyst and talk show host for WSCR The Score in Chicago.

Recently, Arkush made headlines when explaining why he wouldn’t vote for eventual NFL MVP Aaron Rogers. He was roundly criticized for his statement but also apologized the next day saying he made a horrible mistake.

During this informative and enlightening podcast you’ll learn more about the crafty and industrious Hub Arkush and how his love for animals nearly took him in a different life direction.
