Description

Sarah Lacour joins us to talk about purity culture, the movement predicated upon the idea that women are responsible for men's sexual feelings and choices. We speak about this problematic belief system that teaches young girls to dress and act in a way that discourages men from acting on their sexual urges while simultaneously teaching them not to embrace their own individual sexuality. Sarah discusses some of the resources women can access to recover from the internalization of these messages, many of which are linked to the development of eating disorders and body image issues!
