This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana welcome Stacey back on the podcast to discuss the 1984 Stephen King adapted horror movie Firestarter. This Drew Barrymore starring vehicle has a stellar cast, but it suffers from some of the more common problems that happen when adapting Stephen King books. Things that are scary in the book don’t always translate well to the screen. And we kind of know what we are talking about. This is our 5th Stepen King movie in the last two years (if you’re a fan, go check out previous King ‘casts). Some good, some meh, some Children of the Corn. Firestarter falls in the "meh" category.
