Critical communications and in particular "mission critical" in usage quite often refers to public safety applications, but there's another group outside of publc safety users. Our guest this week is Alfonso de la Cruz who talks to us about this "forgotten group".

Alfonso de la Cruz is a principal analyst in the Public Safety & Critical Communications group at OMDIA. Based in London, UK, he is the lead analyst for the Critical Communications Mobile Radio Infrastructure (LMR & Broadband), providing market data and strategic insights into the evolution of the international landscape of critical communication solutions for Government Public Safety and Private Industrial connectivity. Prior to his current role as a Critical Communications technology expert, Alfonso’s responsibilities included the innovative product strategy and commercial development of cellular 5G network solutions and the development of Private Connectivity Network deployments across different industries and a wide range of channels that include Service Providers and Telcos, large enterprises, SMB companies, and B2G government agencies across the globe. Alfonso holds an M.Eng. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Imperial College London and an M.Sc. in Wireless Communications from the Seoul National University.
