In this episode of Becoming with Angelina Watkins, she talks about the deadly mistake Shanquella makes in picking friends.
Shanquella Robinson was a 25 year old college student who took a trip to Cabo, Mexico with the wrong people. On October 28 she landed in Cabo and was dead by the next day. There is video circulating the Internet where Shanquella is being maliciously beaten by a “so called” friend. She is naked, lifeless and being thrown around like a rag doll. Her frenemies would return home and go on with life as if nothing happened. But that would be short lived because you should know that social media is not having it; they are demanding justice.
Were there signs that these friends were really not her friends? It is no new advice that we should be careful who we pick as friends, but we sometimes overlook the red flags and trust the wrong people. Just like you have red flags when picking a mate, there are red flags when picking friends.
