Robert Johnson was the inaugural member of the 27 Club. He has been called the greatest blues musician of all time and many argue he laid the foundation for what would become rock and roll. His death is contested and his life is infamous because, as rumor has it, Robert Johnson traded his soul to the devil for the ability to play the guitar.
