Description

At 2:40 a.m. on July 17, 1994, a gunman peered through the scope of a high-powered rifle and took aim. Some 100 yards away, the target was sitting in a brown leather chair on the front porch of the blue house at 570 Woodland Avenue, just off the University of Kentucky’s campus in Lexington. Suddenly the quiet was shattered by the rifle's crack. The bullet hit its target, Trent DiGiuro, in the left ear, killing him instantly. It would take six years before his killer was identified and only through the actions of one brave woman.
