The Apollo 11 moon landing on July 20, 1969, was one of the most incredible achievements in human history up to that point. Despite this feat, some people claimed the “giant leap for mankind” had been faked entirely and that man had never really set foot on the moon. Conspiracy theories that the moon landing was actually a hoax that the U.S. government had staged quickly gained traction and haven’t let up since.
