Today (Friday, April 1, 2022), we are asking God to help us serve and love others more.
A reading from 1 Peter 4:10-11
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Let us pray:
Faithful and gracious God,
You called me to freedom, which you want me to use as an opportunity to love and serve others. Loving my neighbor as myself is a health lifestyle you want me to do on a daily basis.
Jesus, coming to the world for the redemption of all humankind, was a sign of true love. He gave his life as a ransom for many. That kind of sacrificial love is what I need. Help me love and serve people the way you want me to do it.
Serving others is a choice I will make to do every single day. Fill me with the Holy Spirit that I can have the same mind, the same love, and the same obedience to God’s that was in Christ.
That way, I will do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility, I will count others more significant than myself. Help me not only look to my own interests, but also to the interests of others.
Empower me to have that mind, which was in Christ Jesus that I will love and serve your people today and always. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen!

Hoy le pedimos a Dios que nos ayude a servir y amar más a los demás.
Una lectura de 1 Pedro 4:10-11
Cada uno según el don que ha recibido, utilícenlo para servirse unos a otros, como buenos administradores de la multiforme gracia de Dios: el que habla, como quien habla oráculos de Dios; el que sirve, como quien sirve por la fuerza que Dios da, para que en todo sea Dios glorificado por medio de Jesucristo. A él pertenecen la gloria y el dominio por los siglos de los siglos. Amén.
Oremos:
Dios fiel y misericordioso,
Me llamaste a la libertad, que quieres que use como una oportunidad para amar y servir a los demás. Amar a mi prójimo como a mí mismo es un estilo de vida saludable que quieres que haga a diario.
Jesús, viniendo al mundo para la redención de toda la humanidad, fue un signo de amor verdadero. Dio su vida en rescate por muchos. Ese tipo de amor sacrificado es lo que necesito. Ayúdame a amar y servir a las personas de la manera que tú quieres que lo haga.
Servir a los demás es una elección que haré todos los días. Lléname con el Espíritu Santo para que pueda tener la misma mente, el mismo amor y la misma obediencia a Dios que hubo en Cristo.
De esa manera, no haré nada por rivalidad o vanidad, pero con humildad, consideraré a otros más significativos que a mí mismo. Ayúdame a no solo mirar por mis propios intereses, sino también por los intereses de los demás.
Capacítame para tener esa mente, que estaba en Cristo Jesús, que amaré y serviré a tu pueblo hoy y siempre. En el nombre de Jesús, oro. ¡Amén!
