Description

This week, we are praying for all children and youth in our families, communities, and around the world.

Let us begin by reading from Mark 10:13-16,

People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.

One thing we need to know is that God wants all children and youth to be near Christ. It’s the only way they can learn more about God, who God has made them to be, and who they can be later as adults in this world.

But, as in the story, society, that includes people and everything else, there is always something that will prevent our children and youth from drawing near God through Christ.

And, the primary reason is that the enemy does not want our children and youth to experience God’s presence and be blessed.

So, this week, make time to pray and stand against any evil scheme that distracts our children and youth from drawing near God. We pray, starting today that God will empower our families, parents, grandparents, all adults to bring little children and youth to Jesus.

Please, pray with us,

Heavenly Father,

All children and youth are a heritage from you, Lord. We praise you for each one of them as we also lift them up to you. We bring them through prayer to you, Jesus Christ. We ask that you break any opposition that stands in the way between you and all our children and youth. Sometimes, we, the adults, may be in your way, and, therefore, preventing our children and youth to draw near you. Help us all. Give us what you know is best to enable us in training, instructing, and guiding our children and youth according to your Word.

Our children and youth are all meant to be blessed and become a blessing to our world today. We dedicate all of them to you throughout this week, and always. In Christ’s name, we pray. Amen.

Make sometime every single day this week to pray for all children and youth that through Christ, they draw near God. You can use this prayer or say your own.

Thank you for joining us in praying today. Have a great week and God bless you!
