Hi,
this week, we’re praying for our families. So, we will pray for blended families, families that still suffer from the wounds of divorce or broken marriages. Last, we will pray for families that deal some behavior problems.
No matter what you face and how impossible that situation may be, God will show us the most excellent to handle it.
Here’s a reading from Genesis 28:14,
Your offspring shall be like the dust of the earth, and you shall spread abroad to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south, and in you and your offspring shall all the families of the earth be blessed.”
Let us pray for blended families,
Lord, our Hope, we are all having trouble adjusting and adapting to this new family structure. We’re having to deal with different parenting and discipline styles. We’re having to get used to living with people we barely know. We’re still dealing with feelings of grief and loss. Lord, smooth the way for us by reminding us to respect each other. Help us accept differences in each other and learn to love each other. Enable us to resolve problems in a peaceful and kind way. Amen.
Now, we pray for families that still suffer from the wounds of divorce or any broken relationships.
Abba Father, the Lifter of our heads, even though our family has been torn apart by divorce, help us to be restored in our emotions and healed in our hearts. May we not be ruled by anger over real or perceived injustices. Help us encourage each other through times of depression or emotional exhaustion or irritability. Enable us to accept these changes and move forward together into a new future of hope. Empower us to forgive and establish healthy communications and be on good terms with all family members. Amen.
Last, we pray for families that are facing some behavior problems.
Lord, our Keeper, we pray that you hold our family together as we endure the stress of dealing with our children’s problem behaviors. Help us to agree on the most effective strategies for correcting these behaviors that are causing problems for everyone. Remind us to model the behaviors we want to see in our children. Help us remember to affirm and encourage good behaviors rather than always fixating on unwanted behaviors. Empower us to be lovingly firm with our children and to set proper boundaries for them. Amen.
Thank you so much for join us this week for prayer. See you next week and God bless you!
