Description

Hi,

This week, Belka, Emly, and Fernando are leading us through prayer as we ask God to help us to be forgiving.

Christmas is a reminder of God’s love, which means that God, through faith in Jesus Christ, has forgiven our sins. And, our response to God’s gift of Christ to us is to also forgive others.

Let us read from Ephesians 1:7-8, “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence.”

Forgiveness means that we judge not and we condemn not as Jesus has asked us to do according to Luke 6:37.

To forgive is God’s nature and that’s why it is so hard for us to do it. And, it is also for that reason we have to pray asking God to help us all with that.

As we approach the end of 2022, why not forgive ourselves, and others? Forgiving frees us from anything that binds us to our past.

Let us pray:

“Heavenly Father,
Thank you for forgiving me no matter how often I break your commandments. I often sin and continue to fall short in so many ways of your glory. I have made so many poor choices and done things that have saddened you. Please, forgive me. Set me free from anything that binds me to my mistakes and the bondage that comes with sin. Also, help me forgive myself and other people whom I think may have offended me. I forgive all of them. I forgive myself. Wash me clean through the blood of Jesus Christ and help me celebrate your Son, Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior this week and always. In His name, I pray. Amen.
