Description

This week is our last in our four-part “Be Grateful” prayer series. We skipped last week due to Thanksgiving.

Thankfulness requires us to be joyful, generous, enduring, prayerful, hopeful, and gentle people.

In our prayer for this week, we will be asking God to help us with all those attitudes of what it means to be grateful.

Before praying, let us read this Scripture from 1 Chronicles 16:34,
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.”

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father,

You are good and your love for me endures forever. For that I am very thankful. Everything you have created is good, including times I go through in this life.

Help me be joyful no matter what I face this week, or all the days of my existence here on earth. Grant me the strength, your power to endure anything I go through this week.

I will devote myself to prayer and will be watchful and thankful whether I am in need of anything or not. I ask for your power to strengthen my spirit and renew my mind so that I seek your Kingdom first before anything else.

Father, I ask that you make me hopeful and gentle. Help me believe that you hold my future in your hands, and you always have the best in mind for my life. For that I am very grateful and will show it through kindness as you help me love your people the way you love us all.

In Christ’s name, I pray. Amen.
