A reading from John 10:10
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, you are the giver of all life. You give life and life abundantly. I sometimes don’t experience the goodness you have to give me. Also, I don’t sometimes even know how good your goodness is. But I want it, O God.
Sometimes what I think should happen isn’t actually good and what I expected. My limitations, my inabilities and my desires to always get things my way make it difficult for me to receive what you want for me. I’ve struggled and pain is all very familiar. By all means, the enemy wants to destroy me, and take so much from me and my life.
Today, I ask for more of what you have in mind for me, O Lord. I pray that you help me experience your power, which is at work within me. Let your abundant life flow through me. Fill me with more of your presence.
Make known to me the path to the abundant life through Christ. Let your presence cover my life and allow me to experience the fullness of your joy. I stand today on the Rock, Jesus Christ, the perfect gift from above to all humankind, the One in whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.
Thank you for your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you. Thank you for opening wide your hands so that I can experience the true gift of life I have received to the full, and which no one can destroy, or steal from me. I ask all this in the name of Christ, my Lord and Savior. Amen.

Lectura de Evangelio según San Juan 10:10
El ladrón no viene sino para hurtar y matar y destruir; Yo he venido para que tengan vida, y para que la tengan en abundancia.
Padre celestial, eres el dador de toda vida. Tú das vida y vida en abundancia. no
Imagino y ni siquiera sé cuán buena es tu bondad. Pero lo quiero, oh Dios.
A veces, lo que creo que recibo no es realmente lo que esperaba. Mis limitaciones, mis incapacidades y mis deseos de hacer siempre las cosas a mi manera me dificultan recibir lo que tú quieres para mí. He luchado y el dolor es grande. Por todos los medios, el enemigo quiere destruirme y quitarme mucho a mí y a mi vida.
Hoy te pido más de lo que tienes en mente para mí, oh Señor. Oro para que me ayudes a experimentar tu poder, que está obrando dentro de mí. Deja que tu vida abundante fluya a través de mí. Lléname con más de tu presencia.
Dame a conocer el camino a la vida abundante a través de Cristo. Deja que tu presencia cubra mi vida y me permita experimentar la plenitud de tu alegría. Hoy me paro sobre la Roca, Jesucristo, el regalo perfecto de lo alto para toda la humanidad, Aquel en quién no hay variación ni sombra cambiante.
Gracias por tu bondad, que has guardado para los que te temen. Gracias por abrir tus manos de par en par para que pueda experimentar el verdadero don de la vida que he recibido y que nadie puede destruir ni robarme. Todo esto te lo pido en el nombre de Cristo, mi Señor y Salvador. Amén.
