Still so shattered by the loss of our good friend, Gilbert Gottfried at 67 this week. It wasn’t even a year ago when he recorded his “9/11 Stories” segment for the podcast/Youtube series. On “Sonstein Sunday” at 6:55, we will air his “9/11 Stories” piece. Days after 9/11, Gilbert brought down the house with an entirely Gilbert-like inappropriate joke at the 1st big entertainment event after the terror attacks. Gilbert & I discussed the “too soon” debate ..do we have to wait an appropriate time before making jokes about tragic events??? Ironic, because that’s what we say about his passing :”too soon”.
