It stars non-actors in a story about a single African-American mom in a small Florida town, trying to prevent her 14 year old from following his imprisoned dad’s footsteps. The film won the prestigious “John Cassavetes Award” at the Spirit Awards. Star Regina Williams and writer/director Antonio Mendez join me.
