As International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Women’s History week in The Bahamas approaches, domestic violence in the region and in The Bahamas is on the rise. In this podcast, we speak with three change agents working to combat the scourge of gender-based violence. Tune in as we speak with Khandi Gibson - founder of one of the first shelters in the country; Dr. Rochelle Lightbourn – the Citizens Security coordinator charged with training community residents on how to recognize Domestic Violence; and Marisa Mason-Smith – the Advocacy Chair for the Zonta Club of New Providence’s 16 Days of Activism campaign.
