This week on Behind The Battles, we cover the most successful General of the Army Of The Potomac, George Meade. Perhaps best known as commanding the army during the victory at Gettysburg, he did not have a good reputation with his higher ups and Grant stationed himself with Meade for the remainder of the war to keep an eye on him. We will cover his pre war life, his war time contributions and of course his later life and death.
