In chapter 46 of Isaiah we see a description by the prophet of the gods of the Egyptians, the Ethiopians, the Assyrians and Babylonians being taken into captivity in an open shame. The fate that the pagan nations determined for the people of God will be visited upon them. You may face from time to time deep trials and difficulties but even in advanced old age God will continue to engage you with a view to establishing His faithfulness and turning the captivity and plans of the enemy against you and making them a snare for those that hunt for the precious soul.
