The message Jesus gives is known as the Sermon on the Mount. It is a teaching where Jesus gets down to business teaching on who is blessed and why. The emphasis is on humility, contrition, and repentance. The backdrop is the continued theme of the coming kingdom. Just what is the kingdom of heaven? How do we inherit it?
