Confidence is something that is hard to achieve and even harder to maintain. Learning where to get confidence is the hardest part. Often, we look at results to build confidence but we need to get our confidence from the preparation we put in. As a hitter, we need to take confidence in the work we put in to prepare us for the game. Pitcher's confidence is critical to their success. If a pitch doesn't have confidence in a pitch, they won't throw it or they want throw it the way they want to. If a pitcher has confidence in a pitch, it makes their job a little easier and other pitches become easier to throw as well.
It all comes down to having confidence in ourselves from all the practice we have done. We can't control outcomes and what other people do. All we can focus on is what we do and what we have done. So, build your confidence starting with what you can control. That is what you have done to prepare you for the battles you are about to take on.
