Description

From Looney Tunes to the Super Friends, who didn’t love the weekly ritual of getting up early on Saturday mornings for a few hours of animated goodness?! Perhaps paired with a bowl of sugary cereal, or maybe even a full breakfast over at Grandma’s?

On this episode I share some of my favorite Saturday morning cartoons from childhood, as well as some related memories, like remembering exactly where the tv was located everywhere you lived (we moved a lot), or the sights and smells of the house when you first woke up.

Whether these cartoons were made by major Hollywood studios, like Warner Bros. & MGM, or production companies like Hanna-Barbera & Ruby-Spears, they all had one thing in common: a desire to create shows that held a sense of innocence, untouched by the cynicism of the world at large.

Except for maybe Looney-Tunes…that stuff was perhaps just a tad...dark.

I want to hear from you, Slackers! What did I miss? What were YOUR favorite Saturday Morning Cartoons?
