After the recent chaos that occurred as a result of YouTube steamer Kai Cenat's impromptu popup giveaway in New York City this past week, a glaring light was shined on the power of social media and society's infatuation with celebrities. However, with the rise of social media, a dark side has emerged – the phenomenon of celebrity worship syndrome. This dangerous condition, which affects both children and adults, is characterized by an unhealthy obsession with celebrities fueled by social media.
